My dependent variable is the seconds on how long it takes. A dependent variable depends on the independent variable. The independent variable is the factor that changes. The independent variable in this experiment is the speed on each floor. A controlled variable is the factor that never changes. The controlled factor is the program and the robot. We predicted that the blacktop would be slow because there are rocks all over.

The wheels on the robot make it move and also how fast it goes. The arms move up and down when they stop at a line. Each block of code tells the robot when to stop, go straight or when to make the arms go up and down.
Some problems I encountered were when I put in the wrong code and the robot went straight and at the first line the robot arms would just go down and not up. I fixed these problems by switching the codes to the right code so it could do what it is supposed to do and it worked!
